Suzanne Kavanagh is a publishing consultant focusing on strategy, management, and marketing. She has nearly 25 years’ experience, most recently as Director of Marketing and Membership Services at the Association of Learned & Professional Society Publishers where she oversaw the development of an extensive training, seminar and webinar programme for members.
As an IDM-qualified strategic marketer, Suzanne has implemented new marketing systems including CRMs and websites. She has researched and developed online content using UX techniques, conducted surveys and implemented findings in programme form, and delivered brand and communication refresh projects.
Suzanne has led numerous campaigns for sales, rights, trade and adoptions, co-ordinated major product launches and has experience of cross-organisation and industry working groups, committees and campaigns. She has developed community engagement and worked with committees, boards and wider stakeholder groups. She attends and speaks regularly at industry events.
With extensive team management experience, Suzanne has proven performance in developing skilled staff and publishing teams. She worked with industry to revise the National Occupational Standards for Publishing and has lectured on book marketing.
